Afternoon sun, lovely people, and a really cool not-jumping-castle art installation... this was a great time!
I'm photographing Holly and David's wedding up at the Sunshine Coast later this year, and after spending this time with them on the weekend I'm looking forward to it even more. They met via mutual friends, and shared a first date that lasted a whole weekend including a picnic in the park at Kangaroo Point cliffs. What a cool date! I think that as well as being a lovely set of photos for the couple, the images show why I offer engagement shoots. They are a great opportunity to learn how to relax around your photographer and get a feel for their individual style, more than just looking at previous work. These two were really comfortable having me around and I'm super glad they have trusted me with capturing their wedding.
Rosaria and Levi are getting married later in the year up in Brisbane, but they've been living down south for a while. Melbourne is a really special place for them, so I was really happy that we got a chance to shoot there before they moved back home. We had a drink by the Yarra, walked across the river to the National Gallery of Victoria for some artiness and sneaky frames, and then strolled through the gardens before finishing in Centre Place. Very much looking forward to the wedding!
This is what love is about.
Hey guys... it's engagement shoot Thursday!
These two... well Caitlin and I go way back. So when she asked me to photograph their wedding I was pretty excited/nervous. I asked what they wanted to do for an engagement shoot, what they like to do together, places they go and all that. She said 'Oh we're really boring, we go to Roma Street Parklands and he reads and I listen to music, and sometimes we study"
We're really boring.
No Caitlin, you guys are awesome.
They're so gorgeous! I can't wait to be at their wedding!
